Rewiring the Nervous System for Focus and Calm
The human brain is an incredibly complex machine, but it runs on foundational software established when we were infants. Sometimes, that old software continues to run in the background, slowing us down.
At Sens Fontaine, we use the advanced Brain Therapy (BR) curriculum from the Chikly Health Institute. This specific therapy focuses on “Neonatal” or “Primitive” Reflexes—automatic survival movements that originate in the brainstem.
What is Brain Therapy for Reflexes?
When you were a baby, you had specific automatic movements (reflexes) to help you survive—like gripping a finger placed in your palm or startling at a loud noise. As you grew, your higher brain centers were supposed to take over, and these primitive reflexes should have “gone to sleep” (integrated).
However, due to birth trauma, stress, or injury, these reflexes sometimes remain active or “re-emerge” in adulthood.
When this happens, your brain has to work twice as hard to suppress them. It is like trying to drive a car while the emergency brake is slightly on. Our therapy uses gentle, specific manual techniques to communicate with the brain tissue, helping to finally “turn off” these glitches and integrate the reflexes fully.

What are the Benefits?
When we quiet these overactive reflexes, we free up a tremendous amount of brain power and physical energy.
Suitable For Whom?
This therapy is unique because it serves two very different groups equally well: children struggling with development and adults struggling with stress.
School-Aged Children
For kids who have trouble sitting still, focusing in class, or managing their emotions.
Stressed Adults
For high-performers who feel constantly “on edge,” anxious, or easily overwhelmed by noise and crowds.
Trauma Survivors
People who feel their body is still reacting to a past accident or event.
Golden Agers
As we age, these reflexes can return, affecting balance. Treating them helps prevent falls.
Suitable for What Body Issues / Conditions?
We apply this specific Brain Therapy for conditions that are often labeled “behavioral” or “psychological” but actually have a physical root in the nervous system:
- Learning Difficulties: ADHD, Dyslexia, and general lack of concentration.
- Anxiety & Panic: A constant feeling of unease or being “jumpy.”
- Poor Posture: Slouching or toe-walking (walking on tiptoes) in children.
- Sensory Processing Issues: Being overly sensitive to tags on clothes, loud noises, or bright lights.
- Chronic Neck & Back Pain: Specifically pain that returns despite regular massage (often caused by a retained “Startle Reflex”).
