3D Scoliosis Ultrasound Scan
Radiation-Free Monitoring for Precise Spinal Management
At Sens Fontaine, we believe that effective therapy must be measurable. However, the traditional medical standard—one X-ray per year—is often insufficient for managing active scoliosis, yet increasing X-ray frequency carries radiation risks.
We bridge this gap by introducing the Scolioscan®, a radiation-free 3D ultrasound spinal assessment system. Because it uses no ionising radiation, we can observe your spine’s posture and changes more frequently, providing objective reference data for your personalised support plan.
What is the 3D Scoliosis Scan?
Unlike X-rays, which use ionizing radiation to take a flat 2D picture of the bones, our system uses 3D Ultrasound Imaging. This is the same safe technology used to monitor babies in the womb.
It generates a three-dimensional model of the spine, measuring not just the curvature (Cobb angle) but also the spinal rotation and the surrounding muscle balance. This provides a much richer, more detailed picture of your back health than a standard X-ray, with an accuracy rate comparable to traditional methods.

Why Choose This Over (or With) X-Ray?
We are not replacing your orthopedic surgeon; we are filling the “data void” between your annual hospital visits.
The Sens Fontaine Data Approach
We treat the spine with a project-management mindset. We offer this scan as a Pre- and Post-Therapy Package:

Suitable For Whom?
Adolescents (AIS)
Teenagers going through growth spurts who need close monitoring to prevent worsening curves.
Scoliosis Patients in Therapy
To objectively track if your exercise or osteopathy plan is working.
Health-Conscious Parents
Who want to screen their children for spinal issues without exposing them to radiation.
Adults with Chronic Back Pain
To analyze if spinal rotation or muscle asymmetry is the root cause of the pain.
What You Receive?
You will receive a comprehensive 3D Scoliosis Ultrasound Scan w/ Analysis Report detailing:
- Your Spinal Curvature Angle (comparable to Cobb Angle).
- Vertebral Rotation measurements.
